Kresge Foundation and Future Sustainability of the Children's Hospital Trust

The Children's Hospital Trust realises that one of the ways to deliver greater, ongoing funding is to broaden and deepen our relationships with donors over time.

With the support of the Kresge Foundation the Trust has been able to initiate Supporter Relationship Management Programmes in order to attract new donors and build long term relationships with them, while still cementing ties with current and past supporters.

The Kresge Foundation

The Kresge Foundation is a philanthropic organisation that is based in the United States and has an overall objective to grow individual philanthropy in South Africa, for the betterment of communities. The Children's Hospital Trust is one of only six recipients in South Africa and the only non-university institution to receive a grant from the Kresge Foundation.

Whilst maintaining strengths in corporate and foundation funding, the Trust is enjoying the opportunity to grow donor relationships thereby creating long term sustainability. In growing the Trust's unrestricted income this ensures continued support to the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital where it needs it most.

There are many children in need of charity in Africa. Many of these children need advanced medical care and many of them can only receive it at the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa. You can help these children by donating much needed funds to the Children's Hospital Trust.
