Every Facebook Fan is a Hero

THE ABILITY TO HELP THOUSANDS OF SICK KIDS GET BETTER WITH JUST ONE CLICK

The Children’s Hospital Trust is launching a unique Hero Campaign on Facebook that will do more than just benefit the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital - finally every man, woman and child will have the chance to be a Superhero.

The Trust is appealing to the public to ‘Like’ the Children’s Hospital Trust’s Fan Page and receive their very own Superhero name, and then share it with all their Facebook friends.

The campaign is based on the premise that the more people who know about a great cause, the more funds an organisation could receive. The Children’s Hospital Trust is making its campaign public on Wednesday, 16 November with the goal of increasing fans on their Facebook Fan Page from 9 500 to at least 15 000 and raise awareness around the Trust’s current priority project to raise R13million to upgrade and equip the second phase of the B-General Medical Wards at the Hospital.

The B-General Medical Wards treat the Hospital’s youngest and sickest patients, most of whom have infectious diseases. These wards have not been upgraded since the Hospital was built in 1956 and it has become critical to modernise and improve the wards and equipment.

Children’s Hospital Trust Facebook fans will be first in line to receive up to the minute news on Hospital patients, life-changing surgical procedures and special celebrity visits. Fans will also receive advice on how to support the Children’s Hospital Trust and updates on projects in and around the Hospital, as well as specific healthcare projects beyond the Hospitals’ doors which will impact paediatric healthcare throughout the Western Cape.

Please wont you be a hero and become a Facebook fan?  You can also find out what your super-hero name and special super-power is!

It's easy! Just click here to go to our Facebook home page and then on the SuperHero tab on the LHS.
