BreathEasy Programme
The 'BreathEasy'Tracheostomy And Ventilation Homecare Programmecurrently provides care to approximately 90-100 children requiring tracheostomies and 10-15 of these are on long-term home ventilation. Read more

D1 Specialist Surgical Ward
The upgraded D1 Specialist Surgical Ward at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital opened on 21 September 2010. Read more
Upgrade of C2 Burns Unit
The Specialist Burns Unit (Ward C2) at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital is the only specialised burns unit treating children under the age of 13 with burn injuries in the Western Cape. Read more
Surgical Skills Training Centre
The Trust is fundraising for R10.6million needed to develop a Surgical Skills Training Centre at the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital to serve the region as well as the African continent. Read more
African Paediatric Fellowship Programme
The African Paediatric Fellowships Programme (APFP) was created in 2007 to develop capacity in clinical services, research and training in child health in Africa. The continuation of the programme is dependent on donor funding for the next three years. Read more

The Centre for Childhood Infectious Diseases (CCID) at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital provides highly specialised treatment for seriously ill children including infectious diseases and HIV. Read more
Harry Crossley Foundation Postgraduate Child-Nurse Training Initiative
There is a significant lack of registered paediatric nurses on the African continent. The Children’s Hospital Trust is supporting an excellent programme designed to rectify this and any donation you can make will help them realise this goal. Read more
