On 15 November 2009, Landmarks Half Marathon and 6km Fun Run will start and finish at the Western Province Cricket Club in Rondebosch, Cape Town. A challenging yet scenic route past key landmarks in Cape Town’s southern suburbs. 

The Landmarks route was designed to incorporate some of the many heritage sites, world-class sporting facilities and tranquil open spaces within the surrounds of the host club Western Province Cricket Club Running Section, where the race starts and finishes. The event also offers participants a 6 km fun run/walk, which incorporates a Schools Challenge sponsored by ADT.

ADT has offered R20 000 in prize money for the four schools with the highest percentage of finishers and three schools with the highest number of finishers will each win a R1 000 gift card from Sportsman’s Warehouse. 

You can collect your entry forms at any Sportsman’s Warehouse, the New Balance outlet store and Cape Town Tourism centres in and around Cape Town. All participants are encouraged to be a part of the “Running with Teddies Campaign” and to bring a soft toy with them on race day to drop off on route in collection boxes outside the Red Cross War memorial Children's Hospital. 
 
The half marathon starts at 06h00, the 6km fun run at 07h00 and there is a 750m kiddies’ race, which starts at 08h00. 

Entries close on Sunday, 1 November, but participants will still be able to enter on race day from 05h00 onwards.The first 400 entries in the half marathon will receive a pair of socks from New Balance.
