After a weekend of flu-like symptoms, including a high fever, the Thompson’s took their daughter Tashlin to the doctor. He immediately referred her to the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital where she was diagnosed with Leukaemia at just 6 years old.
Tashlin was admitted to the Hospital and over a period of 6 months underwent numerous courses of intense chemotherapy treatment and could not attend school.
After months of high level care at the Oncology Unit at the Hospital, Tashlin is now recovering well and her parents and family are looking forward to having her enjoy her childhood with them.
A beacon of hope for children like Tashlin, the Red Cross Children’s War Memorial Hospital needs your support. Find out more about what you can do to assist.
