When Mandela first visited Cape Town’s Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, he knew we were on to something special. It is our job to keep this inspiring facility where it belongs: at the forefront of child health. This doesn’t just mean buildings. Giving life in remembrance of those who lost theirs, not only does this inspiring facility see 250,000 patient visits every year, it is also a dedicated teaching Hospital – giving teams of African professionals the skills they need to transform child healthcare back home. Together with our partners, we have a unique opportunity to inspire change across the continent, using local knowledge and expertise to bring hope to some of Africa’s sickest children.
