The Cape Town Cycle Tour is back! Combine your love for children and bikes with your heart’s mission to make a real difference in the world. We are looking for awesome people just like YOU to join the Children’s Hospital Trust cycling team for an extraordinary cause.

DID YOU KNOW?
Because of your generosity, the R122million Emergency Centre upgrade and expansion project at Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital (RCWMCH) is now fully funded. The new EC will open in March 2022. Staff are thrilled to move into the new space and to have access to new state of the art life-saving medical equipment.

This year, we are helping the little ones at Victoria Hospital, a sister hospital that works closely together with RCWMCH to save the lives of sick and injured children.

VICTORIA HOSPITAL’S PAEDIATRIC OUTPATIENT DEPARTMENT (POPD) IS STRETCHED TO CAPACITY AND WE NEED YOUR HELP

Based in Wynberg, Cape Town in the heart of the Southern Suburbs and home to a community of strong-willed people, Victoria Hospital is a large Metro District Hospital providing specialist services to the Southern Sub-district for almost 132 years. The Hospital is driven by a passionate, multidisciplinary team who continues to heal and build on this legacy.

Victoria Hospital’s Paediatric Outpatient Department (POPD) sees over 7 000 patients annually ensuring each child receives the much-needed, quality healthcare they deserve.

An upgraded and expanded Paediatric Outpatient Department at Victoria Hospital will mean that little patients will receive fast and efficient medical care in an area close to their homes. The need for patients to be seen closer to where they reside is tremendous and will make their journey to health easier, cost effective and sustainable.

Help the Children’s Hospital Trust raise R 10 million to expand the current cramped, POPD at Victoria Hospital which has limited capacity, lacks privacy and has poor ventilation.
